The Milwaukee Sentinel states that on Sunday morning, about three o’clock, Mr. Amos Hanks of the town of Granville, six miles from that city, committed suicide by blowing out his brains with a pistol. The ball entered just between his eyes and came out at the top of his head, killing him instantly. Mr. Hanks was an old resident of Granville, and was pecuniarily well off. He was highly respected by his fellow citizens. The fatal act was committed under the impulse of an aberration of mind.
